AGING AND LONG-TERM SUPPORT ADMINISTRATION

Office of Rates Management

The following is from an email sent to all facilities and interested parties on May 21, 2014:

In its session earlier this year, the Legislature adopted a supplementary operating budget for State Fiscal Year 2015 (beginning July 1, 2014).  In the section of the budget that covers Medicaid rates for nursing facilities, the Legislature not only extended the existing rate add-on for the benefit of low-wage workers, but also added a second, distinct add-on that benefits low-wage workers during SFY 2015.

Two documents are attached to this e-mail. The first is an explanation of thelow-wage worker add-ons that will be available in the July 1, 2014 rates.  The second is an election form which all Medicaid-contracted nursing facilities must complete and return.  Please read the explanation, and then complete and return the election form.  THE FORM IS TO BE RETURNED BY MONDAY, JUNE 2, 2014.

The mission of the Office of Rates Management is to design and administer payment systems that support the provision of cost-effective long-term care. The Office of Rates Management includes: Home and Community Rates/Payments and Research, Nursing Home Rates, and Developmental Disabilities Rates.
